Hide from sitemap on node level - (Request 2)

There was a previous (now closed) issue https://github.com/patrickdemooij9/SeoToolkit.Umbraco/issues/172

With a request to hide pages from the sitemap on a node level. I also have this requirement and had assumed that "umbracoNaviHide" items would be hidden from the sitemap but they are shown.

Is there an easy way to hide these pages?

We would like to know how to do this as well. We have certain landing pages we'd like to prevent from displaying in the sitemap.
