new term request: irregular pigmentation

Open srobb1 opened this issue 6 years ago • 2 comments

I have a phenotype in which the epidermis has patchy pigmentation. I was thinking that 'irregular pigmentation' or 'patchy pigmentation' could be a good term addition.

  • degree of pigmentation (PATO:0002247)
    • pigmented (PATO:0002248)
      • decreased pigmentation (PATO:0002251)
      • increased pigmentation (PATO:0002259)
      • irregular or patchy pigmentation

The MP has the term irregular coat pigmentation ( http://purl.obolibrary.org/obo/MP_0000372). This has the logical definition: has part some ( irregular spatial pattern and inheres in part of some ( pigmentation and occurs in some coat of hair) and has modifier some abnormal) where pigmentation is a GO term and we use the PATO term ' irregular spatial pattern'. Would that work for your case?
