Bug: Clipboard Issue
When translating a string and clicking on the entry to copy it to clipboard, getting this error message:
PowerToys: v0.88.0 Plugin: v1.0.3.0
Hello @Kamiikaze ,
I apologize for the late response.
This error generally occurs when the clipboard cannot be opened, usually due to one of the following two reasons:
-
When another application is using the clipboard
Another running program may be occupying the clipboard, preventingDeepLTranslatorPowerToysfrom accessing it.
Request for confirmation: Please check if there are any other applications using the clipboard when the error occurs. If so, try closing those applications or stopping their clipboard usage and then try again. -
Timing issues with clipboard access
There may have been a temporary issue at the moment of attempting to access the clipboard.
Solution: Waiting a moment and trying again may resolve the issue.
Additionally, if you could let me know whether this error continues to occur or if it was a one-time issue, I would be able to provide more specific assistance. Providing information about other applications that were running at the time of the error would also be very helpful.
if you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to let me know. Thank you!
This issue is persistent. afaik I dont have any other tool running which actively access the clipboard. Only tool which sometimes use it, is ShareX (Screenshot Tool)
It looks like this could be a PowerToys issue, as I’ve seen the same problem reported in the PowerToys repository here:

Just updated PowerToys to v0.89.0, but didnt seem to be fixed yet
I'm still having this clipboard issue, and I'm not sure what's causing it. To my knowledge, the only app that interacts with my clipboard is the Windows Phone Link app—which syncs my clipboard between my PC and phone in both directions. Interestingly, everything works fine with other apps when I copy and paste. This problem seems isolated to PowerToys.
Unfortunately, Windows doesn't offer a built-in way to see which applications are using the clipboard, which makes troubleshooting even harder. Has anyone else experienced something similar with PowerToys, or found any workarounds? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Also, what makes this ironic is that it's hard to find a solution because the bug has been reported so many different times. Every time it's reporting, it gets flagged as a duplicate. It's difficult to even find the original. This needs a solution...

It seems that the PowerToys team is aware of the bug, so I believe waiting a little longer might lead to a resolution
