Cannot use topic as keyword

If I use the autoComplete method to get the mid of a topic and then use that mid as keyword in the interestOverTime method, I get no results. If I search the same topic in the Google Trends website I do get results.

The example I used was searching for "ESCUELA ALMIRANTE PATRICIO LYNCH" and selecting the topic with type "School of Iquique, Chile".
