Wrong window order Gnome 3.34.5

Open MikeyG opened this issue 4 years ago • 2 comments

###Linux Distribution version Gentoo

###Gnome Shell version 3.34.5

###Xorg or Wayland (or both) xorg-server-1.20.8

###Extension version or branch 3.34

###Description of the problem The window order of workspaces-to-dock does not match actual workspace window order. For example, a workspace has a maximized chrome window a a terminal behind, workspaces-to-dock displays the terminal in front of the chrome window.

###Steps to reproduce the problem Constantly after system start and window swapping takes place. If I cycle workspaces-to-dock disabled and back to enable, correct window order is restored, but degrades with a number of window focus changes.

As a side note, if I do a F2+r to reset the shell all workspaces-to-dock workspaces are blank until I select each one - not sure if this is related.

This shows the issue - a screen shot of the screen with a shot of the workspace.

Still have the problem with window order not matching on workspaces. I do notice it seems to happen when I have a virtualbox machine running or have run a machine.
