Bug: Flysky BS6

Open SlipstreamFPV opened this issue 2 years ago • 7 comments

Flysky BS6 receiver doesn’t work correctly.

Channel 1 only operates in one direction with or without channel mapping.

Disabling channel mapping and moving the Aileron output to channel 3 works with full range of motion in both directions.

Tested with latest firmware. Module works great with other receivers.

This appears to be related to the gyro function of the reciever. Channel 1 and 2 are both effected. When channel 1 is high the gyro also kicks in on both channel 1 and it channel 2 where it cuts the throttle. On the original GT5 radio the gyro has settings for (on/off), (normal/reverse), (Steering %), (Throttle %) and (Calibration) which is all done from the radio.

This is not a bug but an enhancement... Without having access to the original TX and RX, I don't really see how to add support for this receiver. If you ship it to me in France, I can have a look.

Since this is a car TX, they might use some upper channels for this, have you tried ? Does the same settings appears if you bind a normal RX ?

I tried the upper channels. When I steer all the way right the gyro turns on full. I think possibly that they are sending the gyro settings before the other channels, or every nth time on channel 1.

Normal TX has no extra settings and works fine.

I would ship it but I'm from aus. It is prohibitively expensive to send. I will get an external gyro instead.

I am making a pistol grip car radio with edgetx / multi module. I can't believe no one makes a product like this! Thanks for all of your hard work.

@pascallanger I have a FlySky GT5 and several B6 Gyro receivers laying around. If you are still interested I can send some equipment your way from NL.

I would love to see the gyro of the BS6 receiver working properly. Now with RadioMaster's MT12 there are definitely many others in the surface/car community who would benefit from this as the BS6 is a quite popular receiver.

@pascallanger is there any way we support you with this?

@pascallanger Please consider to work on this enhancement. Like @Rixxxi wrote the MT12 brings lot of surface users and BS6 is a cheap and good gyro receiver for cars.
