Feature Request: Add Goosky protocol support (e.g. S2 Max) to Multi-Protocol

Background: The Goosky S2 Max RC helicopter uses a proprietary 2.4GHz protocol. However, it offers optional S-FHSS compatibility for control only – telemetry is exclusive to the Goosky protocol. Many users would like to control this model (and possibly receive telemetry) using Multiprotocol modules (e.g. iRX4 Lite, 4-in-1).

Why is this interesting:

  • The Goosky FC appears to use a CC2500-compatible chip.
  • Their protocol seems to share traits with S-FHSS.
  • Telemetry (battery voltage, RPM, etc.) is available when used with the official ST8 transmitter.
  • It would be helpful to reverse-engineer and implement the native Goosky protocol to allow full support from Multi-Protocol-based radios.

Request:

  • Has anyone already looked into sniffing or decoding Goosky protocol traffic?
  • Is anyone interested in contributing to a new Goosky protocol implementation?
  • Would it make sense to fork/mod the existing Futaba_SFHSS module as a base?

Test Hardware available:

  • Goosky S2 Max (soon)
  • iRX4 Lite module
  • ETHOS transmitter

The community would greatly benefit!

Thanks!

To add this protocol, I would need access to the original TX and the heli. If someone is willing to ship it to me in France or participate to the purchase I could look into it.
