This project has mainly existed until now to make use of in substrate archive. However, at the moment that project has become unmaintained, and so the same is true of desub.

It's my longer term ambition to migrate some of the functionality from desub-current across to subxt, which is our library for statically generating an interface to pallets on a node for sending transactions and such. The aim would be to give the subxt package of crates the ability to work with nodes in both a more dynamic or more statically oriented way.

For now though, unfortunately I wouldn't expect to see much more incoming in the way of documentation and examples, although we'd be happy to accept PRs that add these things :)
