Does Not Honor Primary Monitor Selection

Does not move to Primary Monitor, stays on Monitor 0 even if primary monitor is changed. Please provide a monitor selection/preference.

by default gnome shows a panel only on the primary monitor. So I can't imagine a way the widget stays on a screen without a panel... Surely this doesn't happen on my 3 screen setup.

I admittedly am new to Ubuntu/GNOME, and esp Dash to Panel, but this is what mine looks like. After a reboot, I had to turn off/on system-monitor, but it is not on my primary monitor. Screen Shot Screenshot from 2021-11-24 10-03-37

You most certainly have a nonstandard setup. How did you change your primary monitor? From GNOME preferences, or from Dash To Panel (you probably also disabled the standard GNOME panel, right?)

To change primary monitor, right click desktop, choose Display Settings.

TBH, this some times reverts to Built-in display after my laptop goes to sleep and wakes up.
