I am looking into this too. Although sometimes it does show "active" (or inactive...idle?) Maybe it's not on idle when it is doing some cleaning, e.g. pm value over 20...
@adamrzanek I just tripped the purifier with a candle. There does indeed seem to be a threshold in order to show "on". As soon as it is below the threshold...
Well I had the same with the one you are referring to, and think this one actually works better.

ugh. same issue here. and it actually does slow HB down quite a bit. It needs to wait for all of this being handled whenever the home app is addressed
when I delete it, reboot HB, re-add it, reboot HB, it seems to be working for a bit longer.
