Steam drop-down menu opens on different monitor's workspace

Open zsoli69 opened this issue 1 year ago • 3 comments

Describe the bug Using two monitors side-by-side, having Steam open on the right monitor's workspace. When I hover over a menu, the drop-down menu opens on the left monitor's workspace. When I switch up the workspaces, so that the steam is now on the left monitor, the menu opens correctly.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open steam on the right monitor
  2. Hover the cursor over the STORE button
  3. Notice that the drop-down list is being shown on the left monitor

Expected behavior The menu opens on the same workspace as Steam.

Hey @zsoli69, thanks for reporting.

I'm also on EndeavourOS and can't seem to reproduce this. Did you install steam with a sudo pacman -S steam? Just trying to reproduce this (the popup menus show correctly on my setup).

Lastly, are your monitors the same resolution?

Cheers,

Jay.

For what it's worth I also can't reproduce this on "normal" Arch.

Steam is open on an 1440p monitor with 100% scaling, and the menu opens on a 4k monitor with 150% scale. However, it seems that the scaling does not affect whether the problem occurs or not, as I tried with 100% scale on both monitors and I could reproduce this behavior. Steam is installed from the arch repositories.
