Conflicts with `Blur My Shell` causing a full system freeze

Open itsnotsos opened this issue 9 months ago • 5 comments

Describe the bug Full system freeze after I enable paperwm on my machine

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to extension manager
  2. Click install paperwm and enable it
  3. Click the show apps button on your dash to dock panel or simply do 3-finger swipe up to open the applications menu.
  4. And you'll get the system being freezed entirely and only force shutdown by holding the power button and turn on the machine again works ( need to immediately turn off the extension from manager) which is why I am unable to record the screen.

Okay now I can confirm paperwm conflicts with blur my shell when used together

So, I can't reproduce this with PaperWM and blur my shell. See video below - where I've enabled blur-my-shell and then am doing 3-finger swipes as per normal. Let me know if I'm doing something wrong here to reproduce.

Normally it doesn't unless you have enabled the Applications Blur option from the Applications tab settings

Hmm, still can't reproduce this with that setting on - any other ideas I can try?:

Ah you'll have to enable both Blur on overview & Enable all by default
