Online Demo version doesn't seem to be working

Whenever I upload a pdf and click on the pencil to select text, the selection doesn't seem to be happening.

I also tried to run the latest version through a localhost with VisualCode, and the tools to make the annotation in the browser doesn't seem to work. Any update on this project?
