 I can assign myself to this issue, unless you need this now (in v0.1)
We do this by using the chat history row's `map` and `unmap` vfuncs.
Our chat background is not yet compatible with the new ngl renderer. Until then we are still using the old gl renderer.

egui and Iced are amazing frameworks to create fancy UIs with little effort. It also reduces the amount of C code on the program.
