Is it possible to index PDF content?

Any help on this front would be much appreciated. I found the following docs but am new to Solr and not sure how to do this in WordPress. Thanks!

You can try this one out as an add on to the plugin to index the pdf contents when uploaded in the media library https://wordpress.org/plugins/tika-doc-pdf-indexer/
