Aha, you're right. Victor mentioned that above: https://github.com/Azure-Samples/azure-search-openai-demo/issues/4#issuecomment-1546070856 I will clarify in the README that there must also be a role that allows "Microsoft.Resources/deployments/write" on the subscription level, at least...

Per other thread, am working on it now and will aim to send WIP PR today (but it will not have all the components needed).

Since the chat approach now uses chat deployment, I think the code is clearer and this can be closed.

@oizidbih When the wrong citations happen, have you dug into the thought process to see whether the search results have the correct filenames? Are the citations entirely made up, or...

Have you tried the latest changes, specifically this PR https://github.com/Azure-Samples/azure-search-openai-demo/pull/529 ? It moves the sources to user conversation, which seems to work better.
