menu bar icon is always black, hard to see on dark backgrounds

If you choose a darker desktop background, so your menu bar is also somewhat dark, most menu bar icons invert to white-on-dark. However, the yubiswtich icon is almost invisible in many cases.

I must've picked the absolute worst color in terms of contrast... here's my preferred background:
