Support raw SQL Alchemy

Based on pull request from dtheodor for issue #71. With the conflict fixed.

Happy to fix any other issues that come up to get this in a release.

For anyone that wants this sort of functionality, a separate python module exists called fdt-sqlalchemy. It has a bug where there is an errant print, which I've removed and documented a workaround for here.

Thanks for the work and the information.... @jeffwidman is there anything that block this from being merge or something ? it could be really cool to have that :)

I know it's been a long time, but do you still have any interest in this? If so, it will need to catch it up with master and retest. If not, we'll probably close it out. Is it safe to assume that this supersedes #75?
