palera1n v2.0+ botches rootful fakefs reboot
iPhone 7 Plus iOS 15.8.3 Passcode is Disabled I am very familiar with palera1n, the command-line, and how to use them!
In a nutshell certain tweaks that worked before now cause issues with the new "boot logic" Specifically BioProtect mixed with the 'non-beta' palera1n releases prevents rebooting the fakefs. This error occurs... com.apple.xpc.launchd[2024-08-13 22:19:58.192668 (system/com.apple.factory.NFQRCoded [741) <Error>: Missing executable detected. Job: 'com.apple.factory.NFQRCoded' Executable: '/Developer/usr/local/libexec/NFQRCoded'
Here is the reddit post i created going into greater detail.

What do you mean by that^
Rootful should not be used in the first place. Use rootless. why you make ask?
Why rootless > rootful:
- There isn't any storage penalty (such as the 2-5 GB bindfs or 10GB+ fakefs storage penalty) compared to stock iOS
- Most future development of both tweaks and palera1n will primarily be rootless
- In general, rootful tends to have more and harder to troubleshoot issues in comparison to rootless
Yes, tweak compatibility for older tweaks may be better than rootless, but many older tweaks can be patched in various ways to work with a rootless setup.

Not to be rude but your comment is much better suited on Reddit. It's not constructive to the issue at hand.
I hope I'm understanding this correctly but you're not really going to get much support because rootful is deprecated.

It's not about support. It's about bug reporting. I assume they want to make a better product. I'm in no way requesting "support". I'm willing to test scenarios and report my findings. In hopes it helps with the project. Again, your replies to me via a "Bug Report" are unnecessary and not constructive.
Late reply but rootful isn't being worked on, hence it's deprecated. If palera1n v2.0+ botches rootful then the developers won't do anything because rootful is deprecated. Rootful doesn't even work properly on iOS 16+
While yes, rootful is considered something that is not worth while for some, its been a big part of a tool ever since first release. We will try to keep rootful working as long as palera1n is a thing. Though we don't really show encouragement of using it since there's a slightly better option when it comes to jailbreaking on iOS 15+, rootless.
Also be aware when it comes to rootful issues on github we will respond, since its related to our tool.
Note: one of our developers often uses rootful instead of rootless as a daily driver, so it gives us some incentive to keep it working
