Hardware ASTC support for GLonD3D12
Hi, I have have a MacBookPro8,2 which has the following specification:
- CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3740QM CPU @ 2.70GHz
- RAM: 16GB
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M
- OS: Windows 10 Pro 20H2
The latest NVIDIA drivers available for my card is from 2019 and although I can modify infs to get the latest drivers to support my card I'm not convinced it actually has any performance gains.
So right now I'm trying to test to see if GLonD3D12 may potentially give me some performance boost.
I tested GLonD3D12 and framerates are slightly worse than stock OpenGL drivers, potentially 3-5fps less from around 20-30fps on average. However I noticed that Hardware ASTC is not supported according to BlueStacks:
Stock OpenGL drivers didn't have that issue so is there any way to support it? Incidentally do you think zink would give me better performance on my GPU? Thanks for your help/insight in advance!
