Mic not detected

Hi, thank you first of all for your work. I have a problem that has been bothering me for almost 2 years. With the versions that came out a year and a half ago until now the microphone on my asus x550ld is not recognised, it doesn't even show up in the system as an unknown driver. I'm currently using the latest working version, 6.0.9079.1, quite old but everything is working normally. My system has already been cleared of old audio drivers. Any advice on how to install newer drivers?

i have this issue too on my AMD Ryzen 7730U laptop, what specfially should i be asking on those forums?

You need to provide information about your computer audio hardware, mainly your sound card hardware ID and your computer brand and model. If all fails, you might have to go back to OEM specific audio driver.
