Possible to use weekly instead of daily for memos ect

I have been trying to set it up so i can just use weekly journal entries. E.g. i would like a weekly (like there is) but also for my memos ect to go into. Is this possible?

Been trying combinations without luck i'm afraid.

Reason i have a nice weekly template i would like to use to hold all my notes as daily becomes spread out too much and a weekly level granularity suits me better. However then i'm 'missing' the nice memo feature for quick add notes.
