User interface is non-functional in macOS 26

Open jamie-GL opened this issue 7 months ago • 8 comments

Hi there,

I'm testing and validating macOS 26 in my org for app compatibility and identified this app UI is not functioning at all with it's new user interface. The app doesn't respond to clicks on the mouse or tab-enter naviagation.

I got back from apple I need to inform you folks of this issue.

Same here. I am using macOS26 Beta6. I tried clicking it 20 times and it goes there for 1 or 2, but it is just your luck !!

Most of the time, it fails.

Which beta of macOS Tahoe? I'm not seeing any new issue with Beta 3.

I stopped testing the newer betas as Liquid Glass makes my eyes bleed.

Also what is the issue you're observing? The Presentation tab item not working?

@packagesdev : I noticed this on Beta 4 to Beta 9 (I did not check this before beta 4). Y

es, as soon as you click on the Presentation tab, the application freezes. And you have to quit it.

That is a known issue that is not specific to macOS Tahoe and which started with macOS Ventura. There is a development build that addresses this issue:

I am unable to access the above link.

Clicking on the link works for me from Safari. Chrome is another matter. It probably does not like that it's not https.

I checked with the macOS Tahoe RC (which is more like an dev build when it comes to the UI), Packages.app does not exhibit new issues. So it's just the Tab issue that started to appear in macOS Ventura.

There's a Universal binary beta in the releases section of github:

Beta 2 is IMHO stable, it can be official release.
