version info missing for external tools

The version/release info is missing for the following external tools/programs:

  • bowtie,
  • hisat2,
  • samtools,
  • cufflinks,
  • RSEM,
  • featureCounts (subread),
  • seqtk.

Different versions might have a not so subtle effect on the results, like for example see Bowtie version 1.2.1.1 issues: https://github.com/BenLangmead/bowtie/issues/55 and https://github.com/BenLangmead/bowtie/issues/54
