Error occurred while checking if node is synced

I get this error message for most nodes that I try to connect to (included my own, that I know is in sync): "Error occurred while checking if node is synced". Seems like the sync requirement is too tight? Maybe tolerate 1-2 difference?

Good point. I think it is ok for there to be a tolerance range.
