A JavaScript error occurred in the main process - Windows 11

This might be a bit tricky because I'm on Mac but using it in an educational context. It appears only Windows 11 students are encountering this issue trying to run 'p5.serialcontrol-win32-x64'. I opened the ports for the App in Windows Defender and when selecting the port this issue seems to still persist.

Any advice as to what could be the issue or other means of troubleshooting?

Thank you in advance.

Hi Kyle,

Sorry to hear about the troubles. I am afraid this hasn't been tested on Windows recently. Any chance that you would consider using one of the WebSerial based libraries instead? Those seem to work well and by and large supplanted the need for this library.
