Description
I can't install Maccy from Brew due to SHA256 mismatch.
I don't know if this has been talked or addressed before, I couldn't find any resource, but is there anything I need to configure first?
I have a fresh installation of brew, in case it helps.
Steps to Reproduce
In the terminal I wrote:
brew install maccy

To retry an incomplete download, remove the file above.
Interesting. I just brew installed 2 days ago, so I suspect upstream is still okay since no new recent releases? (unless I am overlooking something)
What happens if you try and remove, update brew and try again:
rm /Users/carlos.carvajalvazqu/Library/Caches/Homebrew/downloads/4b957bf26163faec87e7d0a34982ba364ce8d6bb0d1383ede68c6fef7db61116--Maccy.app.zip
brew update
brew install maccy
Any luck?
Sadly no luck :c
Steps shown here:
I reinstalled brew with no success on maccy, I had the same error with a tool called espanso, but in that case they indeed had changed the SHA and they are in process of new signing methods (explained here), I thought for maccy would be something similar, but I could't find any blog or post about it.
I would like to add something else. I couldn’t stay with the doubt whether it was something related to Maccy or Brew, so I decided to try it on my personal Mac (since I’m trying to do this process from my work Mac) to see what would happen, and to my surprise, I was able to install Maccy without any issues.
It might be due to some tool running in the background (like an antivirus) or another factor that I’m overlooking (to be honest, I think that’s the most likely scenario). Either way, I’m considering “buying” the App Store version to support the project, as it’s a tool I really like and have been using for several years.
Interesting, that all makes sense. I have sometimes had brew get into funky states on my machine. Wonder if nuking it and starting fresh rather than just an upgrade. Love you're using warp by the way (me too 😂). Maccy is awesome and has an active community...would love to see you around! Glad to hear you got an install to work on your personal machine! (same here where clipboard manager for me is integral part of my workflow...)
