Your issue

You probably don't know but we Steam Controller (Windows) users are now 100% reliant on this app. Else, we need to use more complex workarounds to play our legally purchased games.

I don't know WTF the EA app is doing not but no matter what, Steam Input just doesn't hook up to the EA games I tested.

Linux users don't have this issue because EA caved for the Steam Deck and they are using Origin... so yeah, thankfully Origin isn't going away anytime soon because they need to support thousands of Steam Decks and the number will only go up.
