Starting to type does not scroll to the bottom of terminal scrolled window

Open sgnn7 opened this issue 10 years ago • 2 comments

When you have more content in the scrolled widget than the height of the window and you scroll up, starting to type does not scroll down to show the prompt. As a side-effect besides not having the typed command visible, the auto-completion is shown where the scrolled widget's active prompt is, which is usually far below the terminal window.

Good point! This is certainly not as intended (though not as easy to fix as it may seem).

Possibly related: Issuing commands or pressing the return key too fast, the cursor will be below the currently viewable area. If I just press the return key multiple times in a short period of time, there will be strange newlines. Video: http://webmup.com/u6Agm/
