Pictures not showing
Describe the bug
Pictures frequently will be stuck loading forever within the app both when sending individually or in a group of pictures. When in a group, sometimes only a few will load, and the rest will fail. Additionally, sometimes the pictures will load fine, so it seems to be a bit random whether the picture will actually load or be stuck loading forever.
To reproduce
Send some photos from the iPhone's photo library in a private chat both in a group or individual.
Smartphone (please complete the following information):
iDevice: iPhoneXr OS: iOS 14.3 Version of Session or latest commit hash: 1.7.5
Indeed I have the same problem. Same pictures appear fine on desktop. For example: two pictures are being sent to me, one appears fine, the other one endlessly loads. Where as they both appear fine on desktop app.
this still happens on the last version of iOS 15.2.1 and session 1.12.1, when sharing media from the Library it results in an endless loading.
I've seen this semi regularly, images load eventually, but can seem to take a long time compared with Desktop or Android Session
So no idea if it will be fixed anytime soon it's an annoying bug to be honest ?
I have been playing with this bug. I take a photo with my iPhone and when I send it to people nothing shows up. It is not displayed in the desktop client I have running on Debian 11 either. Pretty simple to reproduce
I can't recall anymore the issue, as this is not a sharing picture issue, which is separate. Don't see this as a problem myself.
Still looking into this one, haven't found a reliable way to reproduce
Actually I have it like 99% of the time with any group that share picture, (you can try those group that share AI picture) nearly all of them take an insane amount of time to show up and some even never appear at all with no possibility to try to reload it.
