Current Behavior

Allows selection and input of emojis and placing user calls, but not text entry.

Expected Behavior

Allows text input into the text input field.

Steps To Reproduce

1. select contact
2. new conversation/ or existing conversation
3. select message text input field
4. type message

Observe nothing shows or is entered. session_debug_1700084991600.txt

Desktop Version

1.11.4 appimage, or .deb AMD64 install

Anything else?

Also the flatpak version does not launch at all.

The error log shows me deleting a message, starting a new conversation, attempting to delete user, to start a new conversation, but since I cannot copy paste the user ID session ID I am out of luck.

Hey, I don't seem to reproduce this issue on a fresh ubuntu 23.10 install. Any custom setup on your machine or custom input method? Here is a recording of it on my side
