question: using owntracks data to trigger tasker automation
Hi, I started to use owntracks (MQTT) recently and it is working like a charm! i do have a need which i am looking for help! i want to make my phone go to in DnD mode if i enter one region (lets say gym or school). the way it is working is to have my home-assistant automation to identify that I enter at the gym region, and after that the Home-assistant trigger a IFTTT message to the phone, which trigger the tasker automation to put it into DnD. I was wondering if there is anything i could use directly on the phone (serivce? variable? intent?) to trigger the tasker profile automatically. the way i am doing seems a little overkill, since the phone is generating and receiving the message, so using HA + IFTTT in the middle of the process seems really not the best approach.
any advices?
P.S. i am fairly new to tasker...
Old question, you probably figured it out by now. But I was able to do this with the Llama app before I knew of owntracks.
