Mycroft voice assistant integration

Hi, I'm slowly working on integrating my picroft to control my forked-daapd.

Currently I'm using the existing mpc client control and simply calling this bash command and it is basically functional.

Once I get a more robust and less hacky solution, I'll share.

Just wondering if anyone else has gone down this path before I continue (for mycroft or alexa or google)?

I did do this with Google, mostly just as a fun project. I set up commands with ifttt.com using webhooks that would call the json endpoints. Since I didn’t want to expose forked-daapd directly to the internet I used ngrok in between. I don’t use it any more, mainly because I don’t use my Google Home any more, but also because I had issues with the voice recognition.
