Proposal: Let users individually set a default folder
Problem
Imagine you temporarily work in a customer project and are working exclusively on files in one folder. You companies folder structure looks like this: /Munich/Customers/A-F/Acme GmbH/Marketing/Exchange
Imagine having to click through this folder structure every time you log in - very annoying.
Solution
Add a section to the user settings panel where users are able to set their default folder. It could also be done via an action item in the action section in the right sidebar (only for folders of course) similar to "Favourite".
Effect
Instead of the personal space the custom default folder gets opened after the user login - and saves a lot of click-to navigate-around time.
Note: The link on the logo in the top bar should also change to the new default folder. The "Personal" item in the right sidebar however does not change - it still leads to the personal space.

I'd favour your proposal in https://github.com/owncloud/web/issues/7563 over this one here. Having the option of adding this specific folder you work with on a daily basis to the left sidebar is IMO sufficient. If you agree I'd like to close this ticket.
I'm just collecting ideas :) But it origined from my current workflow and I'd be happy to have this feature.
