How do I install this?

I would love to know how I install this. A more useful readme would be great!

The easy way to try this out is to install the CODE (Collabora Online Development Edition) Virtual Machine from Collabora. https://www.collaboraoffice.com/code/

And the difficult way? I would love to use this on my owncloud installation online. :-)

I tested "CollaboraOffice" and now I would like to install on our production facility. I tried to install "OfficeOnline" but without success. so I want a RichDocuments installation documentation. Thank you Fred

The Collabora CloudSuite software stack is under development and has not been released yet. Please be patient, it is coming soon. :)

Just to clarify, it is impossible to install this in an already deployed version of ownCloud at the moment? I installed this on an ownCloud version 9 I had installed a while back and whilst it shows up it is not possible to edit documents or create documents

I think they are still working things out, @DarkStar1 you might wanna setup the CODE instance and try to mimic all the files, maybe inspect the OS packages and try to debug. So you could help by testing any kind of advance, otherwise just wait.

I'm also eager to get this on a Debian/Ubuntu machine but i'm with some other priorities so i really cant do what i said. Maybe in a month i'll start testing. Cheers!

@DarkStar1 @Ark74: Installing this app alone will not do anything. This app integrates the backend into ownCloud. Installing the backend is a much more involved effort, and it is still in development. Best to get the pre-built VM and take it for a spin to get a taste of what's to come when CODE is released.

I was able to successfully install Libreoffice online and I'm going to go down the route of integrating that to our environment instead.

@DarkStar1 if you manage to integrate Libreoffice online as an owncloud app, could you post the steps/links you used please ? I would like to integrate that into our owncloud as well. Thanks in advance,

jo-chemla avatar Mar 10 '16 09:03 jo-chemla

@jo-chemla We're not using ownCloud at all. I couldn't get it to work with own cloud either but I managed to successfully install it standalone and try it out. I am currently working on integrating it to mockup. When I do I will start a blog about it.

How did you install libreoffice-online?

rolandixor avatar May 24 '16 17:05 rolandixor

@rolandixor Go here. https://github.com/LibreOffice/online It seems like it's just alpha now. So, I won't advise you losing time on this.

I'd love to get this working on my own owncloud installation as well. At a high level, given an existing owncloud installation does the following sound like a reasonable set of steps:

  1. Install libreoffice using my package manager
  2. Download and build the two components of libreoffice online - loolwsd and loleaflet
  3. Download and build the richdocuments owncloud app ?

@iceman76 having the same issue

WebSocket connection to 'wss://office.mydomain.com/lool/ws/https%3A%2F%2Fcloud.mydomain.com%2F…ents%2Fwopi%2Ffiles%2F587595?access_token=token' failed: Invalid frame header

Installed through the docker image provided by collabora

Seems some one has now write down the needed steps how to install that app and build LibreOffice Online from source here:
