Enhancement: checkboxes?

Hi, I wonder if you could support checkboxes in the markdown editor/display? The application I have in mind is shopping lists, for example like this one:

Shopping list

  • [ ] Water pack 6x1,5l
  • [x] itunes card
  • [ ] o2 card
  • [ ] Potatoes

QOwnNotes implements this quite well, and one can click the checkbox in the rendered markdown and it gets checked off. See this screenshot: Screenshot from 2020-03-04 19-30-58 It would be nice to have this on the mobile phone!
