Server URL with .htaccess info is supported?

Hello,

My owncloud server in addition to the usr/pwd has also a usr/pwd (.htaccess) on the web server level. Trying the following URL schema does not seem to be working.

https://username:[email protected]

Is this supported?

How is this related to the iOS News app? You should probably ask this in ownCloud core.

The web version of the app is working. I only see this issue when I try using this iOS app

OK. What happens if you try to log in with https://owncloudserver.com and give username and password in the fields provided in the app?

I get an authorization error. On the other hand if I embed the web server access info into the URL and the ownCloud access info on the provided fields I get "unsupported URL format" error.
