it would be nice to have songs scrobbled to last.fm in the same way Spotify does.

+1, hope this gets implemented soon.

Is there any status update on this feature? Or is there any internal record of the number of plays per song? I would like to implement this feature in the app SubMusic memen45/SubMusic#11 using the Ampache action record_play and the Subsonic endpoint /scrobble. However, the server should support it for it to work properly.

@memen45 No news for now. Both the scrobbling to Last.fm and the internal bookkeeping of the number of times played per song are something I wished to support at some point. But unfortunately I have limited amount of time for this project, and countless things which I'd like to improve.

I'd say that the internal bookkeeping part may make it to one of the next few releases, but scrobbling is a longer term goal, and there's a good chance that it won't happen during the next 12 months.

Thanks a lot for your update! It is unfortunate that it will not be implemented in the near future, however, I understand there are more important features that require time as well. I will find a workaround for these missing methods.

@memen45 The freshly released Music v1.4.0 implements the internal bookkeeping of the number of times and the latest time a song has been played. This is integrated to the Ampache action record_play and Subsonic method scrobble. Scrobbling to Last.fm is still not implemented.

Thank you for such valuable app !

Is there any update on this ? Is it something that could still be implemented ?

I migrated to navidrome recently. Along with multi-scrobbler it makes a great combo for me. Never looked back.

@krillin666 No updates. This could be implemented, but then again, time available for a hobby project is limited and the backlog of nice-to-have features to implement is huge.
