  • search bar could appear only when scrolling up top most, like url bar in safari?
  • footer could have less height in general, and ideally not add height by linebreak

@felixboehm thank you for your feedback

The tab bar (footer) has a fixed height and confirms to Apple UX design guide. Maybe we could check if it is possible to hide the tab bar after some seconds, when scrolling ended.

It is possible to hide the search bar and maybe we should do the same in landscape view, like for the tab bar.

Concerning showing more content, perhaps the title bar icons need only include sidebar, search, and more button? As is now as of this date, too many buttons such that folder name has hardly any space. Perhaps plus button could as with some apps a floating button on bottom right corner? See Fantastical for example.

For file listing, perhaps context menu button isn't needed? Files app merely uses long hold to show menu. Such allows more space for long file names. I think iOS Files app and similar usage are known enough such that its fine. In any case, selecting a file or folder one can then see such options. I think ome doesn't need to see the menu on every row for such usage that might not be used enough to need to be shown persistently.
