[BUG] Export to ownCloud client no longer works

Open workflowsguy opened this issue 11 months ago • 8 comments

If you found a bug:

--> Exporting files from various iOS apps (Photos, Downcast) now results in an error like this:

Error importing IMG_6650.JPG. Error setting up upload of IMG_6650.JPG to /iMac-Inbox/

This looks identical to #1024

The only system change I am aware of between this feature working, then non-working is the iOS upgrade from 15.7.8 (?) to 15.7.9

Steps to reproduce

  1. Select a file in an app
2. Select ownCloud in sharing options
  3. select ownCloud user account
  4. select "Files"
  5. select target folder
  6. select "Save here"

Expected behavior

File should be copied into the selected shared folder

Actual behavior

File is not copied. Error message is displayed

Client

iOS version: 15.7.9

ownCloud app version: 12.0.3 Build 282

Device model: iPhone 6s+

Server configuration

ownCloud for QNAP

Did you check if the upload is stuck on Status (sidebar option)? not able to reproduce from my side.

The error occurs while exporting from any app to the ownCloud app. So there is nothing to check under Status.

This is the error message when exporting an image from the Photos app (typical for exporting from other apps):

grafik

Both options on the dialog just abort the operation.

one question: those pictures you are importing are in the stored in device or in the iCloud?

All the files that fail to export are stored on device.

I do not have the means to blur out personal information in a video, so here is a list of the steps to reproduce the error that the enclosed log file shows, using "exporti a photo from the Photos app to ownCloud" as an example of this bug:

  1. select a photo in the iOs Photos app
  2. export the image by selecting the "export" symbol (square with outward-pointing arrow)
  3. in the share sheet that opens, select the ownCloud app
  4. there, in the "accounts" page that opens, select your account
  5. wait till the status indicator on the account turns from yellow to green
  6. for the account, select the "Files" suboption
  7. in the page that opens then with all the folders shared through the account, select the one you want to export the file to and select the "store here" button
  8. a status page appears that shows the export progress
  9. immediately after the progress indicator shows and starts updating, the error dialog as shown above displays

I have uploaded the corresponding log file through the link you provided.
