OCC create/delete thumbnails

Hi there, appreciate your work and am ready to help. I've come across in here because I (and am sure not only me) really need this occ feature. I would use it by cron in a night time. First, if there is any help needed about this feature, just let me know. I've read you have disabled the occ feature in production but I would like to test it though. So, is there any chance to get it work? I would suggest to include the feature, but disable it by default (as it is still BETA) BUT let people enable it on their own risk. That would be great.
