VideoJS 6.0.0 is available
We are currently running videojs v4.12.11 which is dated 2015-07-09 Now videojs v6.0.0 is available For the changelog pls see: https://github.com/videojs/video.js/blob/master/CHANGELOG.md
Would be good to have this app updated to this version of videojs.
Hi @mmattel, sorry I kept you out of the loop on this, but my main focus is on Nextcloud and maintaining both projects in a diffferent state is a bit of a pain... I'm still trying to answer issues here and help as much as my time allows.
Updating the video library has come up several times and the problem is the video player skin, which is not compatible with the current Video.js version and would require a rework. Additionally, there have been many feature requests which would require user plugins for Video.js.
So I made a proposition to switch to MediaElement.js (https://github.com/nextcloud/files_videoplayer/issues/20), which would provide most of the commonly requested features by default and allows us to update much easier in the future. Feel free to join the discussion or get everyone responsible for video at Owncloud involved here.
