[Feature] Upload old pictures from Android
Hi,
Using the latest version of android client. Its uploading only the newly taken pictures,the old pictures remains on phone. I have more than 400 pictures on it, i.don't wanna upload one-by-one manually. Please add an option that uploads ALL from the.phone.
This would be very useful to not loose images. I already did an unmerged pull request #2772 and this #2834 is the same topic.

The auto-upload feature is intended for that, to synchronize newly taken pictures or videos. You don't have to upload your old photos one by one, you can select all those old pics from your gallery or wherever, and share them with ownCloud to the folder you want. If I understood correctly.

I currently have a similar issue. I have 256gb of unbacked up images and videos. Literally thousands of images. How am I supposed to manually sync the files? It's incredibly cumbersome not to mention near impossible given data access/load time. I spent 5 minutes waiting for the folder to load and it never finished.
There are a TON of people requesting a feature to automatically upload all old images/videos/data and yet there is significant push back from contributors and others. I don't understand why. A feature such as this would be an immense quality of life improvement. I spent a not insignificant amount of time setting up owncloud because I assumed that such a thing was possible, a feature that seems like a no-brainer. Only when not finding the option while using the app and doing some googling did I come to find that it was impossible.
The company line seems to be "just do it manually" and that is shocking. Especially since this has been an issue for what appears to be over 3 years... most likely more.
I would like to add this: my photos, for whatever reason (App is closed, not working...), are not automatically uploaded (for how long?), then they are taken as old photos and not uploaded. If I don't know, these photos can be deleted without being uploaded. Even I know, new photos may come and be uploaded automatically, then I need to find which has been uploaded, which not, that is really frustrating when dealing such things.
