EOL VPS 2016 & 2018
AS OVHCloud, I want to deliver the best VPS offer for the best price so that my customers are satisfied.
To answer to this needs, we have to end of life old products and propose an easy migration path to the customer. It will also allow us to spend less time on the maintenance and then more on innovation for new feature and new product.
a easy migration path could be automated disk cloning or a temporary 10gbit link between the EOL server and the new one or both it would allow flexibility on moving to the new system
@Squalore Does this mean Starter/Value/Essential/Comfort/Elite will be EOLd and new AMD EPYC VPS will be available? Is there any ETA for this? Thanks :)
@nik736 The Starter/Value/Essential/Comfort/Elite are not VPS 2016 & 2018. The EOL date of 2016&2018 offers will be communicated soon to every consern customers
Hello everyone,
I am a VPS customer of OVH who received an "Upgrade your VPS and get free resources" email. I figured out the real reason is that you need to migrate me to a new infra.
Could you perhaps unveil a little, what is the storage behind the new VPS: is it a local disk array on the node, or some network attached storage?
I am asking this to estimate how much attention should I pay for the backups of my not much important data on this VPS.
@phsm VPS nowaday it's all local NVME storage. If you want attach storage they have it as an option.
