Call sound goes through speakers instead of default device (e.g.: headphones) on MacOS

Expected behaviour

  1. Make a call in Telegram
  2. Dialing beeps go through headphones as expected
  3. When the call starts, sounds still uses headphones.

Actual behaviour

  1. Make a call in Telegram
  2. Dialing beeps go through headphones as expected
  3. When the call starts, sound switches to speakers. The microphone from headphones is still used though.
  4. There's not way to change the output device through the call settings.

MacOS Ventura 13.1

Version of Telegram Desktop

9.3.1.241825 Stable

More info about this bug: I've noticed that it only affects 1-on-1 calls. If you join a group call, the audio output switch is there and you can select the right output. Moreover, if you select the output you need, it will also stick to it in 1-on-1 calls. So this is kind of workaround for this bug:

  1. Join a group call
  2. Switch the output
  3. Join a 1-on-1 call and see that the output has stayed.
