How to upgrade overleaf to version 4.x with the toolkit?

According to https://github.com/overleaf/overleaf/wiki/Release-Notes--4.x.x , upgrade to the 4.x version of overleaf should be done in 2 steps:

• upgrade to 3.5.7
• make the project history migration
• upgrade to the 4.x version

How can we do this using the toolkit? I didn't find a way to provide the bin/upgrade script with a version number. The script will update immediately to the recent 4.x version. Any help would be appreciated.
