"Out of memory" error on some programs
I finally got whpxvm.dll to work with otvdm. While performance is much, much better than on haxmvm (in my opinion, anyway) and I can run more programs, I've encountered "out of memory" errors with Microsoft Musical Instruments (it may randomly say "Not enough system resources. Exiting.") and AfterDark (where it'll show the default screensaver with "(screensaver name): Out of memory." scrolling across the top.
There's not much for me to say when it comes to what I expected to happen, though it goes without saying that I wasn't expecting Hyper-V/OTVDM/etc. to run out of memory.
I couldn't trigger AfterDark's "out of memory" message, but this is what I see sometimes when I use Microsoft Musical Instruments:
I read elsewhere that in older versions of Windows, this can be solved by enabling virtual memory. Can that be done with OTVDM, or is there something else I can do that'll prevent the subsystem from running out of memory?
I am running Windows 10 21H1 and I'm using build 2261 of OTVDM.
Out of memory errors can be caused by any number of things. Really need a log of a run with the error.
How would I go about collecting a log? I tried running Musical Instruments with the console window enabled and nothing comes up.
To make a trace https://github.com/otya128/winevdm/issues/226#issuecomment-779702542 but https://github.com/otya128/winevdm/pull/1122 fixes for me the Musical Instruments problem.
