same thing's been happening... at first 4 people everything sounds good but if there's more than to 5 they started to sound like a robot T.T
same
We have one person in our group who also has this issue
So this is like something on their end right? or we don't know?
I've been having this same issue and I tried using the discord to get help but no one knew what to do. I can't play since 2.0.1
Had the same issue at first but then after an hour of playing it suddenly stopped and was working. I didn't do anything different or at least I don't think I did so I don't understand why this was happening
I have the same issue since 2.0.1. But I experienced some really strange behaviour. This only seems to happen if I move my mouse cursor the same time someone is speaking. If I keep my mouse still, sound ist working properly. Maybe crewlink tries to adjust what and how I can hear players based on mouse movement for mouse steering and this leads to the issue?
from what i was told its something to do with the cpu

Could be. I believe the person who has this bug operates on a laptop when everyone else has a fairly upgraded computer. Is that something that could be fixed in a patch?
While t is possible that it could just be the cpu I doubt it because my laptop can run GTA V, Fortnite, Assassin's Creed, and a variety of other games and they only struggle i have would be from time to time my WiFi speed dips. But i guess we won't know until we her from the dev
It's to do with the CPU usage with the latest update. it uses 50% CPU with a full lobby. You can tell the dev, but he will just kickban you for telling him nicely about it.
I think it has to do with the CPU usage as well. I'm on a laptop but it's really cracked out. Intel® Core™ i7-7500U Processor, two GPUs. It's designed to run well. I looked at the CPU usage while crewlink was open, Among Us wasn't even up yet, and it used more than 5 times than what any other program on my computer uses. I haven't had this issue with any other update they've put out. I tried to find a way to fix it on the discord but they couldn't help. None of my friends and I have played since the new update.
I can confirm its a CPU issue. I'm on a lobby with people right now and all our problems were fixed by people closing Discord and Chrome to bring down CPU usage.
Had such problems on my machine, fixed it by turning down the audio quality in my Realtek Audio Manager from 24bit/192kHz to 24bit/96kHz or 24bit/48kHz.
Same, havent been able to play any prox chat since 2.0.1. Just tried it and ran into the same problem.
yeah, i am also having the same issue
same issue
Does anyone have any recommendations on how to fic this since clearly the people who made this don't want to help?
I'd like to add that it occurs not only with a small CPU, it also depends on the audio drivers. One of my mate is experiencing same issue on a i5 8300h that is not that bad at all but he can't use his Logitech G533 for some drivers reasons. (it ends on the same thing but maybe it can be a hint to solution).
same issue
I found that turning off the lobby settings like Comms Disable Prox Speech and especially Hear Imposters in Vents helps the issues significantly.
I got "better crewlink" it works with crewlink lobbies and does not cause this problem.

holy sh*t that fixed it, spread this far and wide
