I understand this is a simple app but will it receive any more updates if it stops working on new versions of Android?

Honestly: it might be best to consider this abandoned. I'd very much like to get this working consistently on newer versions of Android, but I'm not sure I'm capable.

I'll update the readme to make sure whoever stumbles onto this repo knows what the status is, and I might point them to alternatives.

Thanks for the app while it lasted. It's now failing for me too in Android 11.

FWIW if anyone is looking for alternatives, I tested the similarly named Caffeine - Keep Screen On, and this worked well. Unfortunately I couldn't find a FOSS equivalent.

Currently Coffee is a good alternative, the closest FOSS equivalent you can get right now. This app works in Android 11 and 12, though it practically only has 2 states: off and ∞. Unfortunately, for those who want the timer functionality, you won't be seeing that on this app because this is the developer's intention.

Thanks @lazytownfan. Coffee doesn't seem to work for me, but I'll open an issue there.

EDIT: fixed promptly, and works perfectly now!

@lazytownfan FYI: Version 2.15 of my app Coffee has a quick tile that allows changing the timeout.
