Stops working
The app installs and works for a while but they stops. The icon stays but when you click it, it doesn't do anything. Stays grey. The only way to get it to work is to uninstall and reinstall.
This is on Android 7.0
Any ideas?
I noticed if I remove the icon from the notification tray and save it and re-add it again it then works. Better than not having to reinstall it but it's still a pain in the butt.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
That's something I haven't personally run into. Are you maybe running something like Greenify? The tile depends on a background service that keeps your device from sleeping, and some utility may be killing this service in order to spare your battery.
Meanwhile, I'll try to reproduce this issue on my end.

Nothing like that running. Phone is brands new and Stock. Unless there is some LG feature that is stopping it. I haven’t installed anything like that though. FYI – This is on an LG V20.
This was pretty much one of the first things I installed. Screebl was the first thing I tried to install on the new phone, but found it didn't work with Nougat, so I searched out an alternative and came upon you app.
Hope you find out what may be causing it, because it's exactly what I need!! :)
I enabled this, do you think it will help? No other apps have this enabled though
Update....enabling that seemed to work, until I put the phone into Do Not Disturb, which is a sound profile...then Caffeine stopped.
Another update. It appears that it doesn't stop working it's that the icon doesn't change color.
It clicks but remains gray. So it's just the icon that's not turning black to show that it's on.
Just a quick notice, I had the same issue and moving the app to internal storage resolves it for me.
I have discovered Stay Alive! listed all required permissions at Google Play, I think one of them would helpful to make this app stay works.
As my discovery, Stay Alive! have an option “Use altername screen alive method” in its Free Options, which required to alter system setting to do so. And this option really work with some newer Android devices.
